In September, Exceed (Canada) Oilfield Equipment Co., Ltd was founded. The company started the development plan of oilfield equipment supermarket. The business involved various energy equipments.

In June, Canada Nine Ring Energy Development Co.,Ltd was founded. Nine Ring stepped into the new area of oil exploration and exploitation, built the petroleum energy ecosphere.

In January, Daqing Nine Ring Petroleum Machinery Manufacturing Co., Ltd was approved as Heilongjiang province enterprise technology center by Heilongjiang development and reform commission.

In May, Shandong Nine Ring Petroleum Machinery Co., Ltd was approved to set up Shandong province engineering laboratory by Shandong development and reform commission.

In May, Exceed (USA) Oilfield Equipment Co., Ltd was founded. Nine Ring set up the international center of R&D, marketing, after-service in Houston, USA and explored the global marketing network.

In July, the company began to develop and manufacture the special oil well tubing. The development plan with the two engines of sucker rod and oil well tubing started.

In January, Nine Ring Machinery Share Holding Co., Ltd was founded. The company integrated the resources of Research, Design, Manufacture, Marketing and entered the new stage of brand construction.

In December, Shandong Nine Ring Petroleum Machinery Co., Ltd was approved as Shandong province enterprise technology center by Shandong economic and trade commission. 

In March, Daqing Nine Ring Petroleum Machinery Manufacturing Co., Ltd was founded. The company seized the opportunity to provide better service to more oilfield customers.

In January, responding to the call of government, the company reformed its structure from state-owned to privately owned. Shandong Nine Ring Petroleum Machinery Co., Ltd was founded.The fresh power was injected into the company and the company’s development stepped into a new stage.

In April, the company’s product, ultra long and high strength sucker rod, was awarded the national torch program.

In December, the company was approved as high-tech company by the Shandong Province Science and Technology Committee.

In July, the company initiated and implemented the “Sunshine Project”. In this project, the company donated 1,000,000 yuan per year to the excellent and needy students in 29 national key universities including Tsinghua University, Zhejiang University, Xi’an JiaoTong University, etc

In February, Shandong Binzhou Nine Ring Enterprise (Group) Corporation was founded, which means the birth of the Nine Ring brand. Based on the oilfield fine chemicals, Nine Ring began to explore the petroleum equipments industry.

In July, the company got the patent of ultra high strength sucker rod manufacturing technology, which established the foundation of Nine Ring’s industry leading position. 

In the same year, the company initiated and implemented the Technology Long March program. With the entrepreneurial vision, the company thoroughly applied the development strategy of talent- foremost, technology-based, Market-oriented, leading development.

In order to respond the national policy, the company began to diversify its products and swith the core product to fine chemicals special for the oilfield.

Bin Zhou Rolling Mill factory which is the predecessor of Nine Ring was founded in 1984.
